Today I am counting down a few reader favorites: my top recipes of 2016, as determined by you.
This list contains recipes that may have been created in any year. But rankings are decided by page views received during 2016. (<- Thank you, Google analytics!)
These are always fun for me to do personally, because it helps me see what you all like to cook! And also it gives y’all some great recipes to try that you may have missed the first time around.
I hope you enjoy this recipe roundup.
Top Recipes 2016
10. Instant Pot red beans and rice – a flavorful dish that is traditionally known for cooking low and slow. But! You can make without having to wait all day, thanks to the magic of the pressure cooker. And you do not have to presoak the beans.
9. Grilled pork tenderloin on the stovetop – a simple and delicious recipe that you can make indoors on a grill pan.
8. Chicken noodle soup from scratch – I make this for my family anytime anybody gets sick. You may never buy the canned stuff again, after you see how simple it is to make. This year I also added Instant Pot instructions to this recipe.
7. Lazy girl lasagna – only 7 ingredients, and it gives you that lasagna fix without quite so much work.
6. Spiralizer sweet potato with goat cheese, caramelized onion and pine nuts – a real showstopper! A great side dish or vegetarian main dish. Very unique and tasty!
5. Instant Pot rotisserie chicken – This is the absolute easiest way I have ever found to prepare a whole chicken – in the Instant Pot! So delicious and juicy, and it only takes about 45 minutes total.
4. Instant Pot chicken and rice – You can make this one pot dish in your Instant Pot, and it is so simple and delicious. I have gotten tons of positive feedback on this recipe, and I am so happy that y’all like it.
3. Copycat Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce – I was genuinely surprised at how much y’all liked this one! All the taste of Sweet Baby Ray’s with a made-from-scratch appeal. And no sketchy ingredients!
2. Grilled chicken breasts on the stovetop – This grill pan chicken was number one last year, and I can see why y’all like it. It is such a simple (yet reliable!) way to make chicken. And it is a great make-ahead recipe to throw on a salad, a pasta, etc. Very versatile!
