First, gather your ingredients.
Ingredients

To make this egg roll in a bowl recipe, you will need the following ingredients:
- Avocado oil
- Ground turkey
- Kosher salt
- Sesame oil
- Scallions
- Carrot
- Garlic
- Ginger
- Coleslaw mix
- Soy sauce or tamari
- Honey or maple syrup
- Sriracha (optional)
- Sesame seeds (optional)
If you’d rather use ground pork or ground chicken, those are both great options to replace the turkey.
Cooking Egg Roll Bowls
This Egg Roll in a Bowl is a simple recipe that can be made in just a few steps. Here is how to make it.
Cook the turkey:
First, warm avocado oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey, season with salt, and cook, breaking it apart, until mostly done.
Cook vegetables until softened:
Push the turkey to the side, tilt the pan, and spoon out any excess liquid to discard. Add sesame oil, scallions, carrots, garlic, and ginger to the pan. Cook until softened, then mix everything together.
Add the rest of the ingredients:
Stir in coleslaw mix, soy sauce, maple syrup, and sriracha. Lower the heat to medium and cook, stirring occasionally, until well combined.
Taste, garnish, and enjoy:
Taste and adjust spice with more sriracha if needed. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving, if desired. Enjoy!
Leftovers
Store leftovers in a covered container for 3-4 days.

Your whole family will love this easy recipe for Egg Roll in a Bowl! All of the flavors you know and love but without the fuss of rolling and deep frying.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons avocado oil
- 1 pound ground turkey dark meat I prefer or a mix of dark/white
- 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 6 scallions thinly sliced (green and white parts)
- 1 medium carrot peeled and thinly sliced
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- 1, 12- ounce bag coleslaw mix 5 cups
- 1/4 cup soy sauce or tamari
- 1 1/2 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon sriracha optional
- Sesame seeds as garnish, optional
Instructions

In a large nonstick skillet with high sides, heat avocado oil over medium-high heat.

Add the ground turkey and sprinkle with salt. Break apart the turkey with a wooden spoon and cook for 5 minutes until mostly cooked through.

Push the turkey to the side of the pan. Carefully tilt the pan and use a spoon to remove any excess liquid from the pan and discard it.

To the other side of the pan, add the sesame oil, scallions, carrots, garlic and ginger and cook over medium-high heat for 3 minutes until everything begins to soften.

Mix with the ground turkey.

Add the coleslaw mix, soy sauce, maple syrup and sriracha. Reduce to medium heat and cook for 5 minutes, mixing occasionally.

Taste and add more sriracha if you like a spicier dish. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired. Serve and enjoy!

- The coleslaw mix is essentially made up of green cabbage, red cabbage and carrot. So if
you can’t find a pre-bought slaw bag, you can shred 1 carrot, and then thinly slice or
shred purple cabbage and red cabbage until it all totals about 5 cups (not packed).
