We love this recipe because of its big, bold flavors. The jalapeños add a nice spicy kick, which is balanced by the rich cheeses and creamy mayo. It is also SO easy to make. With minimal prep and simple ingredients, this recipe is a quick win. Don’t skip this recipe if you want a crowd-pleasing appetizer, perfect for game days, potlucks, or casual get-togethers!

How to make Jalapeño Popper Dip

First, gather your ingredients.

Ingredients

For best taste, always use the highest quality ingredients you have access to.

ingredients for jalapeno popper dip on a white table in small bowls.

To make our jalapeno popper dip recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

  • Avocado oil
  • Jalapeños
  • Garlic
  • Cream cheese
  • Full-fat mayonnaise
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Grated or shredded parmesan cheese
  • Kosher salt
  • Panko breadcrumbs
  • Crispy fried onions
  • Scallions

You can adjust the spice level by removing the seeds from the peppers, or for more of a kick, add extra jalapeños. Fresh jalapeños provide a bright, zesty heat, but the actual heat level varies per pepper, so you might want to take a small sample of each pepper to judge how many you’ll need.

Pro tip! Soften the cream cheese at room temperature for easier mixing.

The mozzarella, cheddar, and parmesan cheeses create the ultimate melty texture and flavor, but if you don’t have one type, you can substitute more of another.
