Air fryer pickles are a crazy delicious appetizer, and they are much less greasy than the deep fried restaurant version.
Who has gotten fried pickles at a restaurant or bar? Those things are so addictive! I wanted to give y’all a version with less oil, and more everyday-friendly. The air fryer is the perfect tool to make this happen.
As a bonus, I wanted to pull in my existing ranch dressing from scratch recipe (linked in recipe card below). This is perfect on these air fryer pickles. Also, I am currently developing a dairy free ranch recipe. So I’ll be sure to circle back and link that one as well.😉👌🏻

Ingredients
For tastiest results, always use the best quality ingredients you have access to.
I highly recommend using dill pickles, rather than the sweet pickles.
To make this recipe dairy free, you can opt to replace the parmesan with nutritional yeast.
Making air fryer pickles
Drain the pickles and lay them out onto a few clean paper towels to dry them out. Pat them with another clean paper towel so they are nice and dry.
Add the flour to a medium size mixing bowl and season it with a little bit of salt and pepper, the garlic powder, onion powder and oregano and mix it up.
In a separate mixing bowl, crack the eggs and lightly whisk them. Combine the breadcrumbs and parmesan in a separate shallow bowl.
Dip each pickle slice in the flour, then in the egg, then in the breadcrumb mixture and lay them onto a clean plate. Continue until you have breaded all of the pickles.
Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F and spray the basket with olive oil spray.
Working in batches, lay some of the breaded pickles into the air fryer basket in an even layer.
Cook them for 8-10 minutes. Continue until you have cooked all of the pickles. Look how beautifully these browned!
Perfectly crispy and delicious!
Serve with homemade ranch dressing, and enjoy!
