Today I am sharing a small grocery haul from Wal-Mart. Yes – Wal-Mart! While it is not my grocery store of choice, Wal-Mart is starting to carry more organic options, which is so exciting to me! Why? Because that means that organic stuff is going mainstream, y’all. Good news for us all! The more choices we have to upgrade the quality of our food, the better.
And like I mention in the video, my family is not perfect! We do still buy a lot of traditionally grown (non-organic) grocery items. A lot of that has to do with practical reasons. I am not going to go to multiple grocery stores, for example. I just do not have the time luxury at this point in my life, and many of you can probably relate.
Also, the grocery budget comes in to play as well. While it would be nice to buy everything organic and just do all of my shopping at Whole Foods, this is not always practical or affordable. I am always looking for ways to make it more practical and affordable, though! And I will share as I learn to improve the quality of food for our family.
Do you have any tips for improving food quality in an affordable way? Please share!
I also picked up a few things to help reorganize my panty, so I share those items as well.

I had heard that walmart was going to start to carry organic. I am in Chicago and I was at walmart on Saturday and they didn’t have any of the organic stuff yet, hope they do next time I go back. And I totally agree with you, who has time to go to multiple stores? Not me, my kids would be driving me nuts! 😉

I guess it varies from store to store, Deana. I am in Birmingham, AL…FYI. They didn’t have a ton of stuff, but they used to not have hardly anything at all. So progress is good. Hopefully they will start stocking organic items up your way soon!
