Other common names for this are: cheesecake dip, cream cheese fruit dip, cool whip fruit dip. This is one of my favorite ways to dress up plain fruit for a special occasion, and one of our favorite sweet treats.

How to Make Fruit Dip

First, gather your ingredients.

Ingredients

For the best taste, always use the highest quality ingredients you have access to.

To make this easy fruit dip recipe, you will need the following simple ingredients:

  • Cream cheese
  • Marshmallow creme
  • Vanilla extract
  • Cool Whip (or whipped cream)
  • Orange zest (optional)

This dip is customizable with different flavors; you might add a little lemon zest for a citrusy twist or a sprinkle of cinnamon for a warm spice note.

Also, I most commonly serve this with a full fruit platter. You could also serve with just strawberries, your favorite fruits or however you choose.

Cooking Fruit Dip

Fruit Dip is incredibly easy to prepare in just a few steps.

First, beat the cream cheese in a large bowl until smooth. You can use any electric mixer: a stand mixer or an electric hand mixer.

Gradually mix in the marshmallow creme and vanilla, ensuring everything is well blended without any clumps.

Next, gently fold in the Cool Whip to keep the mixture light and fluffy. If you like, stir in some orange zest for an extra pop of flavor.

Serve with a few fruits, or a fruit platter.

Leftovers

This recipe tastes best fresh. But if you want to store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Always use common sense and good judgement when it comes to leftovers, though! If something looks or smells funky, don’t eat it.

This fruit dip recipe is not only simple to make but also a great way to enhance any fruit platter, turning ordinary fruit into a festive, irresistible treat. Serve it at your next gathering and watch it become everyone’s favorite!
