My photos have been mostly food photographs lately. When my son was first born, and for really the first year, I took a TON of pictures. He was such a precious baby, and I was so sleep deprived that I was afraid that I would forget!
Fast forward to now. He is still a precious two-year-old. But in the haze of parenthood, sometimes I forget to take pictures.
We were spending some time together this weekend (Happy belated Mothers’ Day to all you mamas!), and I snapped a few shots with my new cell phone. It got me thinking about the things I want to remember about this stage.
I want to remember how my sweet boy picked Mama “flowers” from the back yard. We won’t tell him they are weeds. So sweet…melt my heart!
I want to remember his fascination with opening and closing doors. The boy LOVES to open and close doors everywhere we go. At home and away.
Speaking of those doors, he has also locked us out of a room or two. I have gotten pretty good at picking the locks in our house. 🙂
I want to remember how much he loves to make silly faces.
And how much he loves our dog.
How hard he laughs when he is playing with Daddy.
These are sweet times, and I love capturing the memories. I know that time moves so swiftly and that babies grow up too fast.
The photos I took with the Samsung Galaxy Avant turned out pretty good. Especially the outdoor photos. They were really crisp and sharp. Like any other camera, the quality got a little grainier in low light. FYI, the only edits I made to the photos were cropping and a watermark. I wanted you all to see how they came out without editing.
I was able to pick this phone up at Walmart last week. Our store has its own little Walmart Wireless section right at the front of the store.
After my corporate job was eliminated a few months ago, we have been looking for ways to lower our expenses. Whenever something like that happens, you really have to re-assess what you need and watch every penny.
So I was more than willing to try out Walmart Family Mobile when I got the opportunity though #CollectiveBias. I was so impressed with Walmart Family Mobile’s plans. They are so affordable! I got the unlimited talk, text AND data plan, and it comes with 1GB of 4G LTE data. It is only $29.88* a month for the first line! Not bad.
Plus there is no contract, so we have nothing to lose with trying them out. You do need to purchase a starter kit if you are a new customer, which is $25*, and it comes with your SIM card.

What do you want to remember about this season of life?
How do you capture memories?

This was such a sweet post. I have 4 children, and I have had so many vases of weeds on my tables over the years that were just as beautiful as roses to me because of the joy on the face of the one who gave it. 🙂 Your son is a dolly.

Thank you Staci! It is so sweet how proud they are to give those “flowers.” You are right – I cherish them!
