Ingredients

  • 8 ounce block feta cheese drained and torn into large chunks
  • 2/3 cup whole milk Greek yogurt
  • 1 clove garlic roughly chopped
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil divided
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh mint
  • 1 teaspoon Aleppo pepper as garnish

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, blend the feta cheese, yogurt, garlic, 1 teaspoon of the lemon zest, lemon juice, salt and pepper.

  2. Slowly add 2 tablespoons of the olive oil until the dip is smooth and creamy.

  3. Transfer the whipped feta dip to a serving dish and garnish with a drizzle of remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil, lemon zest, mint and aleppo pepper.

Recipe Notes

  • The Aleppo pepper isn’t very spicy at all, so if you don’t have it you can swap with crushed red pepper flakes, but use a lot less since the red pepper flakes tend to be spicier.
  • Store the dip in the fridge and then top with garnishes before serving.
  • If you prefer the dip to be a bit thicker, refrigerate it for 2-4 hours after making it before serving & adding the garnishes.
