This grilled ham and cheese with honey mustard is a toasty, melty taste of sandwich heaven! It takes ham and cheese to the next level, y’all.
Add mayo, mustard and honey to one slice of bread, and mix it with the knife, spreading to coat the bread.
Transfer some of the mix to the other slice of bread, and spread it.
Layer on the ham and sliced cheese, and place the other piece of bread on top.
Preheat a frying pan on the stovetop over medium-high heat for about a minute.
Add half the butter to the pan, and let it melt about half way.
Carefully place the sandwich into the pan, rotating it to evenly distribute the melted butter.
Allow it to cook until the bread tosts, about 4 minutes.
Scoop up the sandwich with a flipper, but before you flip it over back into the pan, add the other half of the butter.
Then flip the sandwich over, rotating it to coat the other side evenly with the melting butter.
Cook for another two minutes, being careful not to burn. Note: The 2nd side always cooks faster. I actually turn my burner off, and let it cook the last minute without heat. (I have a smooth top electric stove, so it stays hot)
Remove the sandwich from the pan, and serve.
