Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup unpopped popping corn
  • 1 Tablespoon coconut oil, melted
  • sea salt to taste

Kitchen Tools Used

  • Vented Microwave Cover
  • Tempered glass bowl

Instructions

  1. Add coconut oil to a large glass bowl. You may need to microwave it for a few seconds if it is cold in your house. Alabama in August? Not a problem! It will already be melted.

  2. Add popcorn kernels to the bowl, and stir to coat with the coconut oil.
  3. Microwave on high until popped. (Microwave times may vary. Mine is best at about 3 minutes, 30 seconds. Listen for the popping to slow down.) Or you can use the popcorn button, if you have one!

  4. Use oven mitts or a towel to remove bowl from the microwave (caution: bowl will be HOT!)
  5. Salt to taste.

  6. Serve immediately.
