Air fryer hush puppies are a delicious appetizer or side, perfect with your favorite seafood. They use less oil than the deep fried version.
Mix the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder and chili powder in a medium size mixing bowl.
Cook the hush puppies. Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees F (this takes 5 minutes for my air fryer)
Once the air fryer is ready, place a liner or piece of foil into the bottom of the air fryer basket and spray with cooking spray.
Using a 2 tablespoon size ice cream scoop or large spoon, drop the biscuit dough into the air fryer basket, making sure to space each of the hush puppies about 2 inches apart. You will likely need to do this in batches.
Close the basket and cook at 380 degrees F for 4minutes, then flip each one over and cook for 4 more minutes on the other side.
Once they are done, spray them with olive oil spray and sprinkle with sea salt. Continue until you have cooked all of the hush puppies. This recipe yields about 12-15 hush puppies.

Some air fryer models only cook in 25 degree increments. 375 degrees F should work just fine.👌🏻
