Ingredients

  • 2 salmon filets (mine were 6 ounces, about an inch thick at the thickest spot)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Trader Joe's chili lime seasoning blend (see other seasoning blend suggestions in Notes)
  • salt and pepper to taste, if needed (I did not add any)

Instructions

  1. Pat your salmon filets dry on both sides with a paper towel.

  2. Brush on the olive oil on both sides. Alternatively, you could use cooking spray.

  3. Place the filet, skin side down into the fryer basket. Sprinkle seasoning on top.

  4. Cook at 400 degrees for 7 minutes. Note: Cook time may vary, depending on the size and thickness of your filets. Mine were 1 inch thick in the biggest part. I have made some thinner cuts, and 6 minutes was enough for those.

  5. Optional toppings: fresh parsley or thin sliced green onion (pictured).

  6. Serve immediately.

If you want some other seasoning suggestions, here are my other go to seasonings for salmon:

  • salt, pepper and garlic powder. After cooking, squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a sprinkle of green onion or parsley (or fresh herb of your choice).
  • garlic soy marinade, as seen in my easy grilled salmon recipe
