This watermelon feta salad is a delicious summer salad that is full of fresh flavors.
I absolutely love all of the flavors of summer!😎 And watermelon is a big part of that, especially here in Alabama.
It is not uncommon here to see produce stands set up on the side of the road with delicious, fresh produce. And it seems like almost all of them have watermelons this time of year.
I like to keep watermelon chunks in the fridge all summer long for those moments where I just want something cold and sweet…which is like every day, basically! 🤷🏼♀️😉
But sometimes I want to dress up my watermelon a bit more. Enter this watermelon feta salad.
The combination of the watermelon, feta cheese, basil and my signature homemade balsamic vinaigrette packs a flavorful punch, and it tastes like a little plate of summer freshness. YUM.
That balsamic vinaigrette dressing is a real keeper of a recipe all by itself, y’all.
I always have a bottle of this in my fridge. And it is made from many ingredients that you probably already have on hand.
Tips for making this recipe
I am writing the recipe for one single serving, but it would be very easy to bulk this up for a crowd. You can use the slider on the recipe card to increase the servings.
Or honestly, y’all you could just wing it and add what looks good to you. I never measure when I make this myself. 💁🏼♀️
I would not suggest making it ahead of time, because the watermelon will give off a lot of juice. Making it ahead may turn into a soggy mess. So I would suggest assembling it just prior to eating.
