Sautéed Kale Recipe

Sautéed kale is a simple side dish that you can make in a snap. Quick, tasty and nourishing!

How to make sautéed kale

First gather your ingredients.

Ingredients

For tastiest results, always use the best quality ingredients you have access to.

To make this sautéed kale recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

  • olive oil or avocado oil
  • garlic
  • fresh kale
  • vegetable stock (or water)
  • salt and pepper
  • red pepper flakes
  • lemon juice – optional

Making sautéed kale

Heat a medium size pan on the stovetop to medium heat, Add the oil. Once the oil is hot, add the garlic. Toss and cook the garlic for one minute in the oil.

Add in the chopped kale to the pan and toss and cook it with the oil and garlic until wilted, about 4-5 minutes.

Once the kale is mostly cooked, pour in the stock to help it finish cooking then sprinkle the kale with salt and pepper to taste.

Remove the kale from the heat and sprinkle it with a little bit of fresh lemon juice and serve immediately.

Storage and leftovers

Store leftovers in a covered container in the refrigerator.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons avocado oil or olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 bunches of kale rinsed, dried with leaves removed from the stems and chopped
  • 1-2 Tablespoon vegetable stock or water
  • Pinch kosher salt
  • Pinch ground black pepper
  • Pinch red pepper flakes
  • Squeeze of lemon – optional

    How of you have a tablespoon or two of stock without opening a can or box for no other use? Do you freeze the leftovers in ice cube tray or have you found a better way?
