This intuitive eating thing…it’s a complete paradigm shift, y’all. A WHOLE new way of looking at things. I feel like I am having to de-program myself from all the years of dieting.
I talk about the first step of intuitive eating in today’s vlog. It is both the most important step and the hardest to accept: rejecting all diet mentality.

I have read books before that say obesity starts in infanthood when a baby turns his/her head but the parent keeps pushing until a bottle or jar of food is finished. Instead of a baby always trusting his/her body, they learn that finishing all the food offered is a must and eating past full is a normal feeling. I thought that was very interesting.

There is a whole (newly added) chapter in the Intuitive Eating book on how NOT to give your kids food issues. I can’t wait to read it!
