Fruit Salad in a serving bowl

How to make fruit salad

First, gather your ingredients.

Ingredients

For the best taste, always use the highest quality ingredients you have access to.

Ingredients with label text on white surface

To make this fruit salad recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

  • strawberries
  • watermelon
  • bananas
  • pineapple chunks
  • kiwis
  • blueberries
  • raspberries
  • honey
  • fresh lime juice

This recipe can easily be modified to use whatever fruit is freshest and in season when you’re making it. Find what looks and smells the best, and use that! You can also add in some vanilla greek yogurt if you want to add a creamy element to your salad.

Assembling fruit salad

Easy Fruit Salad is a simple recipe that can be made in just a few steps. Here is how to make it.

Add all of the fruit to a large bowl.

fruit salad ingredients separated in a bowl

In a separate, smaller bowl, mix together the lime juice and honey. (Note: vegans use alternative sweeteners such as maple syrup or agave.

Pour the honey-lime mixture over the fruit and toss to coat.

pouring dressing on fruit salad

Gently toss to combine. Serve cold or at room temperature and enjoy! Optional: sprinkle on a little fresh mint for an extra flavor pop. I almost never do this, and it is definitely good without it. If you really love mint, try it out!

So, how long is fruit salad good in the refrigerator? Store in the fridge for 3 to 5 days.

I hope y’all enjoy it! Let me know if you try it.

Leftovers

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. The fruit will start to deteriorate after a day or so, so fresh is definitely best!

Always use common sense and good judgment when it comes to leftovers, though! If something looks or smells funky, don’t eat it.

I hope y’all enjoy this summer fruit salad recipe! Let me know if you try it.
