How to Make Baked Chicken Tenderloins
Here is how to make these easy baked chicken tenderloins. First, gather your ingredients.
Ingredients
For the best taste, always use the highest quality ingredients available.
To make this Baked Chicken Tenderloins recipe, you’ll need:
- Chicken tenderloins
- Worcestershire sauce
- Garlic powder
- Salt
- Pepper
Consider adding a sprinkle of Italian seasoning or a dash of cayenne pepper for an extra kick.
Cooking Baked Chicken Tenderloins
Baked Chicken Tenderloins is a simple recipe that can be made in just a few easy steps.
Start by marinating the chicken tenderloins in a blend of Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. For the best flavor, let them marinate in a covered bowl, airtight container or Ziploc bag for at least 30 minutes. You can marinate this for longer, such as overnight (refrigerated, of course), as well for more convenience and/or flavor.
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Place the marinated chicken in a single layer in a baking dish, discarding any excess marinade. I have also used a prepared baking sheet (lined with a piece of parchment paper for easier cleanup). I would recommend the kind of baking sheets with the raised edges to prevent the juices from spilling over. (Both of those are affiliate links. See my full affiliate disclosure policy here.)
So what about cooking time? This will vary a bit, based on the size of your tenderloins.
Bake the chicken tenderloins until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F, which typically takes about 22 minutes, depending on the size of your tenderloins. Mine were on the larger side.
This ensures your chicken is cooked perfectly – tender and juicy on the inside with a golden brown exterior.
Leftovers
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Always use common sense and good judgement when it comes to leftovers. If something looks or smells funky, don’t eat it.
Tip: I will often make a double batch of these baked chicken tenderloins, and eat the leftovers on top of a salad for lunches the next few days. Kind of like a little meal prep!
Serving Suggestions
Serve these juicy chicken tenders with your favorite dipping sauce, like honey mustard sauce, ranch dressing, or BBQ sauce. They’re also great atop a salad or alongside simple sides for a complete meal.
Remember, this easy oven recipe is a fantastic way to prepare a healthy dinner, making it a family favorite for those busy nights. Keep this simple recipe in your back pocket for a quick weeknight dinner that’s sure to be a hit! And let me know if you try it.
