Air fryer pork chops are a quick, juicy and flavorful main dish that you can make in 20 minutes. They’re perfect for weeknight dinners, with a couple of simple sides.
If you haven’t yet caught on, your air fryer is not just made for breaded things, friends. It is also great to pretty much anything you would also make on a grill: hamburgers, chicken, fish, kebabs and more! (Side note: check out my entire air fryer recipe collection here.)
The cooking is quite similar to a grill too, since the air fryer cooks food quickly, usually at high-ish temperatures.
I knew I needed a great air fryer pork chop recipe for the blog, and today, that is exactly what you get.
The texture and juiciness factors are both ten out of ten, y’all. You do want to pay close attention to your pork chop size, though.
Since these cook so quickly, it would be easy to overcook them. These chops are boneless, about an inch thick and right around 4 ounces in weight.
If yours are different from that, you may need to adjust your cook time accordingly. Smaller thinner chops may cook for a shorter time, and thicker and/or larger ones may need an extra minute or two.
The only way to be absolutely certain is to check the internal temperature of the meat to determine if it is done by using a meat thermometer. Pork chops should reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees when they are done cooking.
Ingredients
As always, use the best quality ingredients you have access to. This will ensure the BEST air fryer pork chops.
The seasoning profile is just my style: super basic, yet delicious. Nothing too crazy going on here. Just garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
If you happen to have some fresh rosemary, that would be a great addition to this flavor profile. I have some growing in my garden and am always looking for ways to use it. It is not necessary tho, and the base recipe is perfect as is.
How to make air fryer pork chops
First, place the pork chops onto a clean plate and pat them dry with a clean paper towel. Drizzle them with olive oil.
In a small mixing bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper and mix well. Sprinkle the spice blend all over the pork chops, coating each piece evenly with the spices on both sides.
Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and spray the basket with cooking spray. Place the pork chops into the air fryer.
Be sure and leave space between each pork chop. Air circulation is needed to cook meat evenly, so make sure the chops are not touching each other.
Cook for 9 minutes, flipping them over halfway through the cooking time. See notes in the recipe card below for cooking time recommendations.
Remove the pork chops from the air fryer and serve warm with your favorite yummy side dishes. The texture of these is absolutely perfect! I hope they turn out just as delicious for you too.

Recipe Notes
-
Nutritional information is approximate and was calculated using a recipe nutrition label generator.
- Use pork chops that are at least 1 inch in thickness so that they cook more evenly and don’t get dry.
- Cooking times will vary based on the thickness of the pork chops. For 1 inch thick pork chops that are about 4 ounces each, the pork chops will take about 9 minutes.
- For 1 ¼ inch pork chops, they will take about 12 minutes to cook all the way through.
- 1 ½ inch pork chops will take around 14 minutes.
- When cooking these pork chops, always check them at around 9 minutes and adjust your cooking times from these since air fryers do vary.
- Use good quality boneless pork chops that are thick and pink when raw. Pork chops that are too thin or more gray in color will not cook well in the air fryer and will dry out while cooking.
- Mix up the spice blend before coating the pork chops for more even flavor.
- Always check the internal temperature of the meat to determine if it is done by using a meat thermometer. Pork chops should reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees when they are done cooking.
