Now, on to the food! For breakfast I am still on a protein shake kick. This one has been one of my favorites, and it reminds me of a Reese’s peanut butter cup! I use chocolate protein powder (4pp), mixed with unsweetened almond milk (1pp), PB2(1pp) and a banana with some ice.
For lunch I met my husband at our favorite Mexican spot. Not the healthiest, but we love it! I used a recycled picture, but I almost always get the same thing.
Tip: I portion out tortilla chips for myself before I eat them (3pp portion seen here). That way I don’t get too carried away. It slows me down. By the time I eat these, our food is usually at the table.
I had a taco salad with grilled chicken (3pp), refried beans (1pp), cheese (2pp), guacamole (1pp) and salsa. I ate the shell (estimated 8pp). Sometimes I can resist, but this time I gave in. No biggie, just count the points and move on! I did not eat any of the sour cream.
I had my iced coffee after lunch (1pp).
Snack was a big bowl of fruit…yum!
For dinner I made a recipe from my Weight Watchers What to Cook Nowcook book: tilapia with spinach and grapes (5pp). It is an unusual dish, but this is the second time I have made it. My husband and I like it! This time I served it over half a cup of farro (3pp).
I did end up using 4 weekly points for the day, but all in all I didn’t do too bad! Questions for you:
