Happy Wednesday everyone! Man, this week is flying by already.
Today I am sharing a sample day of my eats. I get a lot of new visitors on Wednesday. So if you are new, I would encourage you to check out my page for new followers to see what A Pinch of Healthy is all about! You can also see all 43 weeks of my WIAW history here, FYI.
Now, on to the food!
I have been on a smoothies-for-breakfast kick lately. But I change it up almost every day.
This particular day, I had mangos, spinach, banana, vanilla protein powder (4pp), unsweetened almond milk (1pp) and half a scoop of Amazing Grass powdered greens just for a little extra nutrition. Note: I would leave the powdered greens out of this particular recipe in the future. I could taste them way too much, even at half a scoop!
I also had two cups of coffee (not pictured) with half-and-half and sugar (2pp for the two cups).
For lunch I met my husband at a local Mexican restaurant, which is admittedly not the healthiest option. But I don’t feel like I do too bad there, considering.
Tip: I portion out tortilla chips for myself before I eat them (3pp portion seen here). That way I don’t get too carried away. It really helps!
I also had a taco salad with grilled chicken (3pp), refried beans (1pp), cheese (2pp), guacamole (1pp) and salsa. I ate about half of the shell (estimated 4pp). I did not eat any of the sour cream.
For snack I had some wasa crackers (three for 1pp), laughing cow swiss (two wedges for 1pp)…
…and some cherries. I am loving cherries right now! SO delicious!
For dinner we had some chicken (4pp), roasted carrots (1pp for olive oil) and roasted potatoes (3pp), with a side of green beans.
I post my weekly meal plans every Monday (usually with a side of weekend highlights & photos, just for funsies). I am always looking for more meal ideas and inspiration. So I am starting up a meal planning link up starting on Monday.
I know many of you WIAW bloggers already post a meal plan each week…because I read them! 🙂 So I hope that you will swing by and link up!
You do NOT have to be a Weight Watcher to link up! If you post meal plans on a different day, you can still link-up your most recent post.
Meal planning has helped me SO much. So my hopes are that the link up will:
- Encourage you to DO a meal plan
- Provide more meal ideas, recipes and inspiration for everyone
- Mix and mingle with other food-loving friends
- Encourage healthy eating in an uplifting, positive and judgment-free way
So I hope you will come back on Monday and link-up!
Thanks to the lovely Jenn for hosting WIAW!
