You know how they say bad things come in threes? Well, I sure hope that is right!
Our week got off to a rough start. My husband left this week to travel to Atlanta for a work conference. And within twenty-four hours of his departure it seems things began to unravel a bit.
(1) I had to take our son to the after hours clinic due to symptoms of a potential urinary tract infection. We spent FOUR hours there…which was puzzling to me considering there was hardly anyone else there. And he did NOT have UTI, by the way. So I left feeling like it was a total waste of our time to go there. Sigh.
Contrast my night to this to the photo text I got from my husband, who apparently met Charles Barkley at the hotel he was staying out in Atlanta.
Before you throw rotten tomatoes at him…I did not know this until after we got home from the clinic, thankfully. Hubby was hangin’ with Charles while I was texting him the play-by-play of what was going on at the doctor’s office. Charles had the good sense to tell him to hold off on sending me their selfie until I got home.
My husband and I both graduated from Auburn, so there’s that connection with Mr. Barkley. But did you know that Charles is also a spokesperson for Weight Watchers? Pretty cool. I wish I could have been there to talk his ear off about food.
(2) The next day our toilet leaked through the ceiling down to the basement. Water everywhere!
(3) And the same day we have to call the air conditioning repair man because our unit is not cooling. I find out we need to buy a new air conditioning system. Ouch!
But enough about all that! By the time this post is published, hubby will be back home with us. Hopefully our bad luck will end, and nothing else will break!

Thankfully I shot these photos on Friday, before all heck broke loose. So what you are about to see are much prettier eats than what we have been eating the last couple of days. We may be eating cheap for the foreseeable future, given what we are about to spend in home repairs!
Lunch was leftover chicken (4pp) on greens with tomatoes (from my garden! Yellow and red ones), artichoke hearts, feta cheese (1pp) and a double shot of my homemade balsamic vinaigrette (2pp).
After lunch I had my iced coffee (1pp). Yum!
For snack I had a strawberry Greek yogurt (4pp) and a banana.
And a little bit later I had one dove dark chocolate promise (1pp).
For dinner we had homemade pizza. I had two slices (13pp). Side note – this has been one of my most requested recipes. I took some photos while I was making this batch. So a recipe post will be up very soon!
I get 30pp a day for my daily points allowance (DPA) on Weight Watchers. I ate 31pp on this day. So I ended up using one weekly point, which is not too shabby in my opinion. Pizza days usually send me over my DPA by a few points.
