Hello everybody! I hope your week is off to a great start. Today I share a day of my eats on Weight Watchers. I am back to the tracking method this week. I very much enjoyed Simply Filling, and I am sure I will be working in some Simply Filling weeks in my near future.
Today’s eats were a little bit different. My little buddy was struck with the stomach virus Monday night. Poor little guy! (Side note: I am pretty sure that there is up-chuck in the 9th circle of Hell. Ick! Not fun.) So I kept him home from daycare with me on Tuesday. So my eats consisted of anything that I could quickly prepare. Heck, it was more like a general grazing throughout the day.
I could have used a bunch a pretty photos of food that I have not yet published. I could make it look like a perfect day. But it was not. And I am keepin’ it real. Life sometimes can throw you a curve ball. So in the interest of being honest transparent, I will show you what I actually ate.
So for breakfast, I had a toasted light English muffin (3pp) with a drizzle of honey (0pp), a banana (0pp) and two cups of coffee with sugar and half-and-half (2pp for the two cups).
I also did a shot of apple cider vinegar (0pp). I have heard that this can help ward off stomach bug. I am not sure if it is true, but I figured it can’t hurt! And at least it makes me feel like I am being proactive. I also took my regular daily multivitamin and probiotic, which I hope will help. Fingers crossed!
Little buddy went down for a short morning nap, and my small breakfast left me feeling hungry, so I made a strawberry, banana, yogurt and almond milk smoothie (1pp).
Lunch was an egg white and cheese sandwich (5pp), with a few bites of watermelon chunks (0pp). These are not pictured because they were eaten on the fly – straight out of the container in front of the refrigerator.
Snack was a bagel thin (3pp) with peanut butter (4pp). Hmmm, more points than my lunch. Oh well.
Dinner was one of those already-marinated mahi-mahi filets from Costco (4pp). I baked those for my husband and myself. I paired them with a baked potato (4pp) and steamed broccoli (0pp). Not the most exciting dinner, but it was quick, easy to prepare, and it got the job done.
Once I typed everything out, it didn’t look so bad. But I managed to survive the day and not go off the rails.
